Chuck-E-Cheese is Where it's AT!!!

Since Luke did so well with his pictures we decided to take him to Chuck-E-Cheese for his "reward". Jeff, Luke, nor I had ever been there before and we didn't really know what to expect. I thought it was probably going to be like Show Biz Pizza. Who remembers that place? I had a birthday party there once and I loved it! Anyway, we get there and Luke AND Jeff were in Chuck-E-Cheese heaven!!!

When we first arrived I ordered 50 tokens and a small pizza and drink for Luke all under $20! What a deal!

Luke loved it! He ran from one game to the next and as soon as we put a token in the slot-he was off to the next one! He tried to sit in many of the kids lap's or he would just push them off the rides so that was a little embarrassing but all the kids and parents were so nice about it. One mom said, "He's fine!" and I said, "He's trying to sit on your kid's head." HAHAHAHAHAHA! The joys of having an 18-month-old boy are endless!

Jeff was so excited about the beer, pizza, and the games. He thought the pizza was delicious wanted to take his workers there for lunch... Jeremy said "If you take tons of big guys there without kids..y'all may look like pedophiles." Ha! I think Jeremy is right! Sorry Jeff..you are going to have to find another place to take your big boys.

Luke could have stayed there all day but after noon it became crowded and it was Luke's naptime so we decided it was time to go. (The key to Chuck-E-Cheese is to get there early in the morning!) They open at 9:00 on Saturday mornings! Luke was not happy about leaving and on the way out we got to say "hi" to Chuck-E-Cheese and I think he was a little traumatized by the big mouse. Overall it was a great time and we will definitely be back to visit Chuck-E-Cheese again!
This is the first game played!

He looks so serious in this picture! He's trying to decide where to go next!

Oops, this is when Luke began to try and "push" the little boy out of the ride. The little boy looked at his mom and said, "I don't want him in here!"

Trying to keep up with his Daddy!

Are we bad parents for letting Luke climb all over the skee ball machines? Maybe but..that's the greatness of going to Chuck-E-Cheese in the morning..none of the workers cared. They were mostly college students who looked like they had too much fun the night before and were lounging around the place not noticing anything that was going on around them!

Luke attempted to ride the horse by himself at first...

Jeff decided to get on with him...it was hillarious! He almost broke the ride! It would barely move with him on it! Again... no one seemed to care..

Luke climbed up the obstacle course and Jeff freaked out and tried to follow him but he couldn't fit up it!

Uh-oh! Here comes Chuck-E!!

BYE Chuck-E-Cheese!!!! We will be back!!

Happy 1 1/2 Birthday Little Luke!! WE LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK!!

Hello again!! The Hardens are back!! Luke just turned 18 months old and we couldn't be more proud of our little man! I just wanted to update his stats: size, teeth, personality, interests, hobbies, relationship status, etc!

Luke @ 18 months:
Weight-31 lbs 92%
Height-34 1/2 inches 94%
Head size- 50 1/4 cm 96% (he has a big brain)

Interests: Hiding mommy's stuff under couch cushions, under rugs, under random furniture, and throwing it away. (In the past 2 months I have "lost" my teacher ID, the key to my school, the keys to the house, the alarm remote control to the house, the tv remote, earrings, bracelets, shoes...you name it and he has hidden it or thrown it away if it belongs to me:)

He also loves loves loves to be outside. He calls it "sideside" and would stay out there all day if we let him. He loves to play with any type of ball and loves football (great..sigh), basketball, soccer, baseball..you name. If it has a ball involved then he will play it!

He also loves music! He loves playing on the piano, drums, and guitar and he loves to dance! He also loves pretty girls (preferably 5-55 years of age) He goes for the older women and flirts like crazy (winking, blowing kisses, squealing) HA! He doesn't really care for women his age...I can see this getting really interesting in his teen years if he still has this "interest" in the older ladies..

Daddy's truck is also something that he can not get enough of! As soon as he hears Daddy pull in the driveway he yells "tuck tuck tuck!!" and runs to the back door. Jeff walks in the door, picks Luke up, and immediately has to take him to his truck (or he will throw a fit-throwing himself on the ground, screaming-ya know-the whole nine yards). He grabs the steering wheel, puts it in 4 wheel drive, turns on the AC, blinkers, windshield wipers, and pretty much anything that has a button or a switch. He can stay in the "tuck" for hours on end! The "tuck" is a great babysitter..yet we can't leave him in it alone :)

He loves our dog Toots too. He chases her around the house trying to pull her fur out (while laughing hysterically) and considers it one of his favorite past times. We are working on that one...

He is talking like crazy! Repeating every word we say so now we really have to be careful of the language we use around him!! I can only imagine him going to school one day and saying something that would totally mortify me like "My mom has boobies." Ha!! I say this because I have a speech kid at school that says this repeatedly to me! I have to stifle the laughter and it is hard to do!

He has a lot of teeth! I don't know how many-I'll have to count them and come back and let you know.

He's a huge fan of the tv shows- The Fresh Beat Band and Yo Gabba Gabba. I can probably sing every song to every single episode of each. As much as we get tired of watching them- they have saved us in many many ways.

He's a really happy boy with a HUGE personality and we are so blessed to have him as ours.

Happy 1 1/2 Birthday to our little bubs!

Wow!!! I STINK AT BLOGGING!!!

OH my!! I have REALLY been stinking it up on my blogging idea!! I feel guilty because I was really going to try and keep up with it but....let's be honest..it stinks!!!! I even "forgot" to post the pictures from my Thanksgiving blog and have to go back and do that..hahahahahahahaha!!! So, one reason I stink at blogging is because my laptop has been VERY slow lately and it will barely upload pictures so I am taking it into get fixed this week!!Another reason I stink at blogging is because Jeff has literally been working 80+ hour weeks and I have had ZERO "me" time. "Me" time is time that is spent doing anything besides feeding, playing with, changing, or washing Luke, washing clothes/dishes, doing laundry, making dinner, grocery shopping, etc, etc, etc. So much has happened from January till now and I feel like I have sooooo much to catch up on so I made a promise to myself that I would really keep up with my blog starting in March and I also have to back track a little bit again because so many great events HAVE to be documented for Luke's memories.

I mean Luke is already 6 MONTHS OLD as of this past Friday!! I can't believe my little boy is 1/2 a year old!! I have to brag a little because I took him to Old Navy yesterday and about 6 people asked me if he was a baby model because they thought he was so dang cute!! He has grown a lot of hair lately and it curls at the top so he they say he looks like the Gerber baby.. I know, so cliche but I love it!

Anyway, just wanted to apologize to my 5 followers and promise that I will do much better starting in March when I get my computer all fixed up! Is fixed a word or is it just a word we use in TX? Oh well, it's my blog so I'm gonna use it even if it isn't!!! Love y'all and stay tuned for a lot of blogging/catching up to do!!

Thanksgiving..Finally

Wow..I am really slacking on this blogging thing! It's just that I am watching my nephew, Asher Pants Harden, now and him and Luke keep me VERY busy! More about "Double Trouble" on another day because it's even exhausting writing about them and guess what? I'm exhausted...

So, I am trying to catch up to the present and I thought I would definitely have had it done by the end of January but it's February and here I am writing about Thanksgiving! This is the story of my life..always trying to catch up because I always have so much going on! I totally give props to all those working mamas out there who keep up with their blogging..Camila, KK, Linds (I'm counting Linds too even though she only works a couple of days a week because it's still bringing home a quarter of the bacon and I'm bringing home no bacon-just frying it for breakfast occasionally.)

Ok, back to Thanksgiving in Round Rock, TX with the Price Family!! So, for those of you who do not know, I am adopted. No I'm not really adopted but kind of adopted by my step-dad, Ted Price, who is really my dad but we never made it "legal" just because Dustin and I could never agree when to do it and my mom wanted both of us to do it at the same time. So I am 1/2 Price at heart because that is who raised me..my mom and my step-dad. (There I go again, getting off subject.) I'm a Harden now so I guess it doesn't matter anymore..who cares about last names..family is so much deeper than that..right?

Thanksgiving in Round Rock was fabulous because everyone was there! I will name them in pictures later in the blog so you can put a face to a name! It was so good to see my Grandma even though she was VERY ready to get the heck out of there right when we were trying to take the family picture. Oh my, do I have some stories to tell you about Grandma but that will have to be another post. Very few of our family pictures ever turn out because there is always someone looking off, picking their nose, frowning, etc. Now we have babies involved so it has gotten much harder to actually get a good one!
Grandma kept trying to leave every time the picture was about to be taken so we were literally pushing on her legs so she would not take of running towards the door. She has dementia so she does some odd things and one of them is that when she is ready to go then she is READY TO GO. What can you do? When I am 85 years old I want to be able to to do what I want when I want too!

Mom cooked the best dressing I have every tasted in my life! It was moist but not too moist and had just the right amount of everything in it! She is the best cook I have ever met and I aspire to be as good as her one day even though I am sure it probably won't happen because I think she enjoys it much more than I do. She loved seeing her three grand babies all in one place and they LOVE her! Annika is the oldest at 16 months and if Nonna is around she does not care a thing about anyone else. It's hilarious because she just crawls around the house saying "Nonna, Nonna, Nonna", and then Nonna finds her and picks her up and then she's the happiest girl in the world. My sister-in-law and Annika's mom, Rebecca, took a photo shoot of Annika, Asher, and Luke and it was hilarious because Luke is the youngest and he could not focus on ANYTHING so he looks wall-eyed (is this a word?) in every picture!!

I wish we lived closer to my fam..maybe one day...

We also drove down to NB for a day to see Jeff's dad and his side of the family. We got to visit with and introduce Luke to his Memaw, Don, Aunt Linda, Aunt Cinda, Leslie, Brandi, and Kari. We had a great Thanksgiving and can't wait to have many many many more with our little boy LUKE!
