Hello friends and family! This is Natalie Harden writing about our life at the Harden Homestead! Lindsay Harrison, Jeff''s cousin, inspired me to create a blog for our family so here I go!!! Jeff, Luke, Toots, and I are excited to be part of the "blogging" world and can't wait to start making new memories in 2010!
Here is a little recap of our life from Luke's birth: August 26, 2009 @ 9:50 p.m. and on! We hope you enjoy!
August 26, 2009- After 30 hours of labor Luke McAfee Harden was born at 9:50 p.m. by c-section. He weighed 9.5 lbs and was 20 3/4 inches long! We didn't even get to hold him until the next day because he was rushed to the NICU due to fluid in his lungs! He was in the NICU for 3 nights and on Saturday the 29th, we were able to keep him in our hospital room overnight. On Sunday the 30th we finally got to go home and what a homecoming it was!!!!!!!!
September 28, 2009- First "intentional" smile (we think) and of course it was at me :)
November 18, 2009- Started to babble a lot more and say "goo" and "gaa"! He talks to his bear alot!! On this day he also rolled over from his stomach to his back!! He dosen't like tummy time very much so we knew that he would learn to do this soon enough!!
November 20, 2009- Laughed out loud for the first time (while awake) while Saray was holding him! So funny because he was laughing at the fan (we know how babies love fans)!! From the day we brought him home from the hospital he laughed a lot in his sleep which was the cutest thing ever!! We always wondered...what could he possibly think was so funny? He hadn't even been alive that long! We finally came to the conclusion he had to be dreaming of my boobs full of milk! HA!
December 17, 2009- This was the first time for Luke to leave the state of Texas to travel to Breckenridge, CO with Uncle Dustin, Aunt Haley, and Cousin Asher! We (Jeff and I) went with him too of course! What a fun trip we had but coming home we got caught in a snow storm and 19 hours on the road with two babies is somewhat of a challenge but we made it safe and sound! Thank God!
Keep going girl! Loving it so far! Thanks for the shout out!
