Luke meets the newest addition to the Shaffstall family!!!

I met Amanda a long time ago way back in undergrad!!
We met at UNT in one of our ever so boring undergrad speech classes and have been friends ever since! At the time I thought we would NEVER make it through our masters program and was wondering what else I could do with my life..but we did and now we are both married mommys..oh how times have changed!!
I am so happy to have finally met their first baby- Jackson Shaffstall! He is just the cutest little baby ever!!! Congrats to Matt and Amanda!!

Luke is wondering if he should touch the baby or not

Then he decides he could at least touch his nose

Doesn't Amanda look amazing for just having a baby? Can't wait to have play dates with Luke and Jackson!

St. Patty's Day and Yep we are Irish!!

Jeff and I don't get out too much with out Luke so we decided that this would be a day to celebrate since we are both Irish! I think it's hilarious that we decided to take family pics in the front yard before the celebrating began..but we were all wearing green and I just couldn't resist!

Hope you all drank some green beer on St. Patty's day too :)

Obviously the shananigans going on in the next pictures were minus Luke!

We must be getting really old because young girls kept saying, "You're 30 AND you're a mom! Wow! You look good!" (Wait a second! what is 30 AND a mom supposed to look like?!?!?!)

Spring Break 2011

So, Spring Break came and went and we had some great times!!!

It started out with a tooth implant! Believe it or not, I had 6 baby teeth still at 30 years old!! I know..crazy genetics. My mom, aunt, Nanny (my mom's mom) and probably most of the women on my mom's side of the family still have some baby teeth! Crazy! Anyway, at the beginning of the week I did recieve my THIRD tooth implant and said some pretty ridiculous things when I was on pain medication at the dental office. I can't even tell you what I said because it was and is WAY too embarrassing!

When I got home from my check-up (note that it WAS NOT the same day as my implant) because after my implant I came home and passed out :). Lindy and I decided to take him to the park to play and he LOVED it! Jeff is going to build a swing/play set for Luke's 2nd birthday gift and I can't wait to see how it turns out!
Anyway, I know it's a late posting since Spring Break was 2 weeks ago but better late than never!

Luke is so happy mommy is home all week for Spring Break!

Check out the toes on this kid..he gets it from his daddy
We think he's a lefty!

He loves his Toots

Now it's off to the park we go!

I feel so bad for letting him go down this HUGE slide! I didn't realize how long and steep it was!
The couple sitting next to me were shocked and Luke looked a little stunned after the event. Oops- good thing he didn't get injured!
Luke is a climber! It doesn't matter if it's under, over, or through- he'll be the first to climb it!
Luke loves to meet new people and make new friends..Jeff says he gets it from his momma. Long toes from daddy- social personality from momma.

Climbing again!

Thanks Lindy for helping out!

Hope you all had a TERRIFIC Spring Break too!!
